Anahi Ruvalcaba was a 2023 Leonard D. Schaeffer Fellow from UC Berkeley who interned with Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) in Washington, DC. She has since served as a staff assistant for former Sen. Laphonza Butler (D-CA) and now supports constituent services and tours for Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA). A first-generation college graduate and former community college student trustee and president, Anahi is passionate about education access and juvenile justice reform and aspires to become a policymaker.
