Five Institutions Facilitate a Competitive, internal sElection Process

University Partners manage a selective, internal placement process to identify highly qualified undergraduate students whose public service interests align with 10 internships. Universities also pair each Schaeffer Fellow with an internship supervisor and an alumni mentor.

The John H. Pace, Jr. '39 Pace Center for Civic Engagement makes service and civic engagement part of the Princeton student experience. Princeton Schaeffer Fellows are selected through the alumni-founded Princeton Internships in Civic Service (PICS) program.
